The situation: an institutional digital asset custody platform — segregated, insurance-backed vaults for exchanges, asset managers, family offices, and SMSFs across 50+ blockchains — where the entire product is not getting breached.

What we built: the platform end to end — the product itself plus the cloud infrastructure and security architecture beneath it: Multi-Party Computation (MPC) key security, segmented networks, and access controls built for institutional due diligence. How does your fixed pricing work?

Audits start from $5k, cloud foundations from $25k, and retainers from $6k/month (AUD, ex GST — we work with clients worldwide). After the discovery call we give you one number and a delivery window, and that's what you pay. No hourly billing, no change-order games. If we misjudge the scope, that's our problem, not yours.

Do we actually need SOC2?

If you sell to enterprises — or want to — yes, and usually sooner than you think. The first serious buyer will send a security questionnaire, and "we're working on it" stalls deals. We build the infrastructure so that side of your audit becomes a formality — your compliance platform (Vanta, Drata, Secureframe) and auditor run the program itself, and we work alongside both.

Do you run the whole SOC2 process?

No — and be wary of engineers who say yes. Getting certified takes three parts: an auditor, a compliance platform to manage policies and evidence, and infrastructure that actually passes the technical controls. We're the third part. We plug into the other two, we can recommend both, and together that covers the whole path — without anyone pretending to do a job that isn't theirs.

We already have an engineering team. Do you replace them?

No — we multiply them. Your engineers keep building product while we build the platform under it. Everything is codified and documented, we onboard your team to run it, and we train them on the AI tooling we use so they're faster after we leave.

Can you build software and AI tools too, or just infrastructure?

Yes — we're a full engineering team, and we build our own AI platform products end-to-end. We deliberately lead with infrastructure because automation built on shaky foundations doesn't last. Once your platform is solid, we can build the layer above it and discuss what fits your business — for example agentic workflows, LLM integrations, internal tools, and full products.

How do you handle IP, security, and confidentiality?

Everything we build is yours. We sign NDAs, work within your repositories and cloud accounts, and follow strict access controls. We build SOC2-ready systems for a living — we hold ourselves to the same standard. Your code, your data, your IP.

What happens after the project is done?

We onboard your team, document everything, and make sure they can run it independently — the handover is part of the fixed price. If you want ongoing support, the Fractional Platform Engineering retainer keeps a senior engineer on your infrastructure month to month. Optional, never required.
